Have try to look at the people who look at your site and what the heck are their reactions after they are filled with the words in your content? Did they take any action? What action I mean is that they view the MLS listings, contact you via email or your phone, request additional services or buy home. Overall, did your words are enough to convince them to take actions for you to achieve your goal. If you think not, then it is the time for you to add interesting and relevant content, make few changes and know the other reasons why isn't working.
The reasons I think that the time spent in my blogs went down are:
- I do not post as frequently than before
- Not keeping my content fresh and up-to-date
- Not adding links to past post can really get them off your site
- A little bit lazy and not adding contact information or at least a signature in the box.
- The number of words matters, short post is not always good, unless you make your point in just few words
- Less interaction with your blogs means less opportunity and less money
When it comes to search engine my site always wins the fight between them with my Realtown blog. I know that oftentimes my site traffic is directly coming from my Realtown blog.
